**The Role**

The Editorial IO Lead is part of the editorial team; reporting into Head of Editorial they autonomously assist various

groups throughout the facility with complex challenges regarding data being ingested, published and delivered back to the clients. They are a point person for the Editorial IO Assistants regarding the prioritisation of work and provide on-the-spot-guidance in the absence of the Editorial IO Supervisor.

**What You Do**
- Taking the lead for downloading material from the client’s servers and processing scans
- Validating/QC-ing processed scans and other material
- Informing show production teams/Editors that material is available for ingest
- Validating material which is scheduled for upload
- Uploading material to client’s servers
- Working with Production and Editorial to ensure that you have a good working knowledge of all the shows formats, understanding what’s being ingested and what’s being delivered back to the client
- Helping to manage the transfer of material to dailies rooms for review
- Publishing material into the DNeg pipeline
- Taking the lead and responsibility for more complex IO issues if and when they might arise to ensure that issues are resolved in a quick and efficient manner
- Problem solving to find more efficient ways of working within the IO Editorial team
- Working with and support of the Editorial IO Assistants with their day to day activities

**Must Have**
- Proficient in Linux and running command line scripts and tools
- In depth knowledge of film file formats and conversion
- Knowledge of film cameras, recording formats, aspect ratio
- Film colour theory
- Working knowledge of Premiere and Nuke
- Ability to meet deadlines and prioritise IO issues as they arise
- Previous experience working within an Editorial or IO team
- Ability to work with high volumes of data
- Impeccable accuracy and attention to detail
