**The Opportunity**

This is **_a permanent part-time lifestyle assistant opportunity _**for a motivated professional to join our St Paul's Terrace residential care home, located in Frankston VIC 3199. As a lifestyle assistant you make a difference to the lives of residents, their families, and the staff that help support and care for them. It's a great opportunity to combine a passion for interacting with our older community and utilising your strong administration skills. Some of your duties will include:

- Coordinate the provision of recreational and social programs that enhance the well-being of our residents
- Maintain records of recreational and social programs - includes the design, details of resident participation and program evaluation.
- Assist each resident in accordance with the lifestyle plan document
- Ensure all programs meet both residents’ needs and accreditation standards
- Engage residents and encouraging them to be part of their local community
- Assist with meaningful and enriching activities that provide choice to each person

**About you**

To be successful on this role you will need:

- Certificate III / IV in Lifestyle and Leisure
- NDIS Clearance
- Demonstrated understanding of the cognitive, social and spiritual needs of the residents and their families
- Empathy and an ability to build strong connections with residents and their loved ones
- Honesty, helpfulness and dependability - making you a great asset to the team
- Creativity and experience in coordinating and providing recreational and social programs, ideally in an aged care environment
