Are you an experienced senior risk practitioner ready to pivot your career and make an incredible impact? Join our growing business in this important first-line risk partner role, reporting to the General Manager Member Engagement. The Member Engagement and Growth (MEG) business team is responsible for making a real difference to the financial futures and experience of HESTA members and employers through education, financial advice and other engagement activities.

As the key conduit between the Member Engagement and Growth (MEG) business team and the second-line Enterprise Risk team, this role will focus on enhancing risk capacity, capabilities and maturity within the MEG team, operationalising key elements of HESTA’s enterprise risk framework, and enhancing HESTA’s overall risk culture and effectiveness.

**What You’ll Do**:
As a trusted partner to the General Manager Member Engagement, you will work closely with the MEG leadership team to operationalise and embed key elements of HESTA’s risk management framework, enhance risk capability to drive strong risk awareness and engagement. Key areas of responsibility include:

- **Risk Leadership**: Partner with the MEG team and the second line Enterprise Risk team, to implement, manage and monitor risk processes, lead business team risk forums and contribute to enterprise-wide risk community of practice.
- **Risk Culture and Capability**: Deliver risk-focused thought leadership, training, and change management to embed a strong risk culture.
- **Risk Identification & Monitoring**:Assess, monitor and manage identified material risk, including conducting risk assessments, managing, enhancing and reporting of key risk indicators. Monitor internal and external environment for emerging risks.
- **Controls & Assurance**: Oversee design and description of controls to address identified risks, manage effectiveness testing, regulatory change activities, internal/external audit engagements, and other third-party assurance reviews.
- **Incident Management**: Track incidents and breaches, oversee and manage rectification actions, and ensure activities are recorded, tracked and updated in the Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) system.
- **Third Party Oversight**: Work with owners of third-party relationships to develop and enhance oversight and monitoring of service delivery and contract performance.

**About You**:
You will have extensive experience in senior risk roles, ideally in financial services or superannuation, with proven knowledge/understanding of the APRA/ASIC regulatory environment. Exposure to outsourced provision of critical business activities, including member and customer administration.

Strong knowledge of risk management frameworks, GRC systems and the three lines of accountability is essential. Proven ability to lead risk initiatives and projects, with excellent communication, influencing and stakeholder engagement skills.
