Are you a passionate media communicator with experience in government media? We've got the opportunity for you to lead a team of media and digital media professionals to help us grow our positive media relations, continuously improve our digital media offerings and enhance and protect the reputation of OIR and the Queensland Government. If you've already got government media experience, excellent, we want to hear from you. If you don't, no problem, we welcome an array of applicants to help us shape our diverse team.We want to hear from people who know how to bring positive media and digital media solutions to life, to guide and coach a team to produce their best, to develop that team so that we stay on the forefront of media opportunities, and with a strong reputation in media. You'll be an excellent relationship builder and manager - we've got quite the diverse remit with four Regulators under OIR, so you'll be adept at getting to know people and content quickly and professionally. You'll utilise your networks to assist us to promote OIR in the most positive light.
You'll have strong people skills, able to steer a small team, resolve issues and positively influence the relationships within and outside your team. You'll help them build strong relationships throughout the department and externally. You'll be adept at people management and performance development. We're looking for someone who can help streamline our processes, appropriately allocate work within the team and manage workflow, and maintain exceptional standards of governance and risk management.
