We currently have key developments in the Business Intelligence & Data Analytics marketplace and are looking for an Analyst Programmer to join the Melbourne Professional Services team.

**Task & Responsibilities**
- Collaborate with clients and prospects to gather, analyze, and document business requirements, ensuring a deep understanding of their system and program needs.
- Collaborate effectively with team members to facilitate seamless project execution.
- Evaluate client use cases to identify optimal solutions, assess technology limitations, and recommend enhancements or new solutions.
- Conduct data analysis using SQL databases and Looker to generate actionable insights, supporting clients with data-driven recommendations.
- Design, develop, and implement ETL/ELT pipelines using GCP services (BigQuery, Cloud SQL, Dataflow, Cloud Data Fusion, etc.) to process and transform data, ensuring code meets best practices and client requirements.
- Contribute to project prototyping and iterative development, providing high-quality documentation to support each phase of the project lifecycle.
- Manage ETL/ELT workflows, monitor performance, and drive continuous process improvements.
- Provide ongoing troubleshooting and break-fix support for operational projects as needed.
- Active participation in customer demos, Proof of Concepts (POCs), and pilot projects, ensuring alignment with client expectations and project goals.

**Qualification & Experience**
- A relevant degree qualification in Computer Science, IT or related discipline with minimum 2 years experience working as an analyst programmer
- Understanding of design and implementation processes of a Data Pipeline, BI & Analytics and embedded solutions
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Python and JavaScript, with experience working with SQL databases (e.g., BigQuery, PostgreSQL, MySQL)
- Competency in at least one and exposure to other BI & Analytics tools such as **Looker**, Tableau, GoodData, Qlik, PowerBI
- **Must** possess a Google Cloud Professional Data Engineer Certification. Other relevant **GCP**, AWS or Azure certifications are desirable
- Familiarity with version control systems like GitHub, Bitbucket for collaborative development and project management
- Experience with cloud technologies e.g. GCP, AWS would be advantageous
- Understanding of Agile framework/methodology is favorable
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Superior analytical and problem solving skills with high attention to detail
