**About this Opportunity**

Our client, Kim Pearson Interior Design & Decoration is currently looking for a casual Bookkeeper / Accounts Administrator who is proficient using Xero, to join the team in their Claremont Office.

While the role is casual and exact hours each week are based on demand, the KP team do expect that this role could require between 6 and 16 hours of your attention per week. KP are very flexible and understand just how busy life and family is, so the days and times you work can be changed (within reason) to better suit your schedule (e.g., work during school hours to be able to pick up the kids)

**What a typical day looks like**

In this position, you will be responsible for:
○ Weekly bookkeeping and accounts activities, including:

- Bank reconciliation
- Payroll and management of leave records

○ Accounts payable and receivable, including:

- Preparation of formal invoices and statements for projects
- Monitoring and issuing progress payments against purchase orders and invoices for projects

○ Assisting with quotations, including:

- Making requests for costings to our suppliers and makers
- Quotation preparation from spreadsheets to formal quotations for our projects including checks and balances

○ Monthly and quarterly reporting activities, including:

- Superannuation
- PAYG and BAS statements

○ End of Year preparation for handover to our Chartered Accountants

○ Liaising with various stakeholders (i.e., our clients, supplier, makers or accountants)
where required

○ Ad hoc administration assistance (i.e., insurance management, procurement I
including purchase orders for projects, stationery and supply orders, and provision of
support to our Studio Coordinator and Principal).

There is the potential opportunity to participate in a support capacity in other areas of the practice. This could involve assisting with Client presentations, installations, sourcing enquiries and/or photo shoots. Although please note, this is not a design role.

**About You**

Previous experience working at a Design Practice or industry is desired but is absolutely not critical.
- A qualification in Bookkeeping or a relevant area (i.e., Certificate IV in Bookkeeping or similar)
- 2+ years’ experience in a similar role
- An enthusiastic pro-active individual who thrives in a busy team environment
- Experience using Xero and Mac software
- Ability to prioritise and manage time effectively
- Highly efficient data entry skills and typing accuracy
- Effective communication skills
- Full working rights in Australia
