About the opportunity

Applications are invited for eligible medical officers to join our team to complete their BPT2 clinical Year at Mercy Health (Werribee Campus). These are twelve (12) month positions commencing on 2nd February 2026.

Mercy Health has a number of BPT2 positions suitable for eligible applicants holding their General Registration with AHPRA by February 2026.

Mercy Health offer a supported environment where Senior Medical Staff make an effort to know you personally and our HMO education program comprises weekly education session, incorporating simulation workshops and case-based education sessions.

Each successful applicant will complete the below rotation combination under the BPT2 HMO Program:
- General Medicine including sub-specialties (based on preferences) - 6 months-
- Palliative Care/Geriatrics Mercy Albury NSW - 3 months

BPT2 positions are offered through the PMCV Computer matching service. Please check eligibility as part of the Match Registration with the PMCV.

Applications must be made to both the PMCV and Mercy Health.-
- Australian Trained (Permanent Resident) Graduate of a Victorian Medical Faculty.- Australian Trained (Permanent Resident) Graduate of an Interstate Medical Faculty.- Temporary Resident Medical Graduate of a Victorian Medical Faculty.- Temporary Resident Medical Graduate of an Interstate Medical Faculty.- Australian Medical Council Graduate (who has obtained Permanent Residency and is completing the requirements for (or currently holds) General Medical Registration in Australia).- New Zealand Medical Graduates (Permanent Resident or International full-fee student).- International Medical Graduate (Australian Permanent Resident) who will complete 12 months of workplace-based assessment at an Australian hospital (Competent Authority Pathway).

About You:
- Hold general registration as a medical practitioner by commencement of 2026 Clinical Year.- Equipped with excellent communication skills and promote the Mercy Values of Compassion, Hospitality, Respect, Innovation, Stewardship and Teamwork.- Enthusiastic and motivated to make a real contribution to the provision of high quality care to an ethnically diverse, rapidly growing community.
