Child Protection Social Worker

**WE'RE HIRING: Supervised Child Contact Worker (Family Supervision)**

**Casual | $33.50-$45/hr + Super + KM + Tolls | Sydney Metro | Start ASAP**

We’re a trusted, well-established **child protection Supervised Contact Agency - Children in FOCUS**. Our mission is to provide safe, neutral environments for children to spend time with the parent they don’t live with — supporting the child’s emotional wellbeing while managing complex family dynamics. **We take child safety seriously—but we like to keep our humour intact.**

You’ll be facilitating contact, observing interactions, and writing professional reports. You’ll see the highs, the lows, and everything in between — but you’ll be doing something that _matters_.

**DO NOT APPLY IF YOU**:

- You can’t work **both Saturday AND Sunday** (yep, every weekend, that's the job — no _“I can do one or the other”)_.
- You don’t have a **car and a valid licence**. Public transport or Uber is not an option and L's = Learner. We need experienced Drivers to transport pressious cargo.
- Struggle with written English — our reports go to court. Spellcheck and Grammar aren’t optional.
- Only want 4 hours on a Tuesday - We need **20+ hours**, including **16 on weekends**.
- Only worked in aged care or disability support — this is **child protection**, not personal care. This job requires specific child-focused and trauma-aware experience.
- Want to _“gain skills_” We need experience, not observers.
- You used AI to write your resume or cover letter (we know how to spot it, and it’s not helping you).
- You’re unable to commit to consistent weekend work due to recurring personal or social commitments. This role won’t be the right fit.

**APPLY IF YOU**:

- Have a **reliable, insured car** and a clean driving record (RMS statement required).
- Can commit to **at least 20 hours per week**, with a minimum of **16 hours across weekends.**:

- Are calm, professional, emotionally mature, and can handle tense family dynamics.
- Have **great written and verbal English** skills — you’ll write detailed court-friendly reports.
- Are confident working with children and families in community settings (parks, homes, play centres).
- Hold a current **Working with Children Check, clear Police Check, and First Aid Certificate (childcare-specific).**:

- Have relevant experience and a Cert III or higher in social work, community services, psychology, education, or similar.
- Can manage awkward silences, emotional parents, and curious toddlers without losing your cool and remain neutral.
- Want to make a difference — not just clock hours.
- You can keep kids safe, parents calm, and your bias out of it.

**Location**:All over Sydney — you’ll need to be flexible and mobile. Shifts are allocated by geography and availability.
