About the Role
The successful applicant will, as acting Head of Department - Student Services, be working with the executive team to be responsible for leading the school improvement through the use of data and driving the PBL agenda through coaching.

**Some of the responsibilities and key tasks will include**:

- Provide information and advice to the Principal Advisor, PBL (Region) and Assistant Regional Directors in their supervision of cluster schools, to develop, articulate and commit to a shared educational vision, particularly the aspects related to school environment, student support and the development of appropriate student behaviour, which in turn contribute to quality learning outcomes for all students.
- Play a support role in delivering the vision of the department to improve the educational outcomes of students in State Schools by facilitating and supporting the training, planning and effective implementation of PBL at the school level.
- Work with school clusters to collect and analyse using the Schoolwide Evaluation Tool (SET), Effective Behaviour Support (EBS), and Benchmarks of Quality (BoQ) and develop data driven school based action plans, as per the regional PBL data collection and submission schedule.
- Train school personnel and support school teams in Practical Functional Behaviour Assessment (P-FBA).
- Attend weekly PBL Data Team meetings. Guide team through protocols and PBL framework. Ensure least-to-most intrusive practices are applied and protocols are followed. Inform team of any data anomalies/trends to action. Ensure support provision processes are being followed.
- Lead council with analysis of faculty reporting results. Guide SLT and staff with goal development and 'moderation' planning.
- Develop tools based on school needs. Update data tool's data when required. Coach HoDs to develop Council's capacity using tools to help inform decision making. Inform Council of school/faculty 'hot spots' within timetable.
- Continue to build the whole school interactive data plan using the Inquiry Cycle HoDs to understanding/use data.
- Oversee the development of processes that reduce the time for data entry.
- Lead the continued development of whole school IT infrastructure and online learning platforms including the BYOD.
- Responsible for the line management of IT support staff
