**The Position**

Sharp & Carter have partnered with a large client in the Brisbane's western suburbs to recruit a Payroll Officer to commence immediately for a six month contract. Reporting to the Payroll Manager, you will be responsible for processing the full-function payroll. Working in a supportive and friendly payroll team, you will be encouraged and challenged throughout the assignment duration.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Manage the processing of the weekly payroll cycles of both salary and award employees;
- Provide advice through accurate award and EBA interpretation;
- Manage varying complex payroll calculations in relation to terminations, redundancies, entitlements and deductions, and completing necessary compliance documentation;
- Complete month-end and year-end processes including reconciliations and reporting.

**Skills and Experience**
- Experience processing payroll in a large organisation of both salary and award employees;
- Prior experience interpreting EBA and awards and offering accurate information to the organisation;
- High attention to detail and level of accuracy while working in a fast-paced environment;
- Experience using Tier One payroll systems.
