Based in Toowoomba, our client is seeking Trade Assistants for an immediate start.

Our client is a leading manufacturer and supplier of advanced pipe systems and solutions within the pipeline industry. They are a leading supplier of pipe systems and solutions where they manufacturer quality PVC, PE, PP, DICL and industrial pipe systems. A well-known client within the water, wastewater, gas and energy pipe systems.

The role will be working within their fabrication team and will have the potential to move into a Welding role once the applicant is trained and obtains their welding ticket.

**Role/s specifications**:
Monday to Friday with weekends available

Forklift ticket and White Card is mandatory

Ability to pass a drug and alcohol screening is mandatory

Ability to provide a copy of a police clearance within 6 months or be willing to obtain one

**PPE required**: Cotton drill long sleeve hi vis shirt, cotton drill long work pants, steel cap boots, safety glasses, safety gloves and hearing protection required

$29.40 per hour + OT on commencement

Driver’s license and car is preferred as public transport is limited in the area

Physically fit and strong - ability to move large volumes of plastic pipe (lifting and mechanical aids will assist)

Long term and secure employment opportunity available

**Duties**:
General trade assistant duties for plastic pipes and storm water drains

Use of hand and power tools

Learning the process of correct welding techniques

Ability to obtain welding ticket and career progression

Forklift operation

Manual handling

Operation of industrial machinery and equipment for manufacturing purposes

Use of overhead cranes

Forklift operation

Quality checks to ensure production satisfaction and ability to identify any necessary rejects

Machine maintenance to minimise downtime on machines

Pre-start checks of machinery

You must have valid working rights within Australia to be considered for this role.
