Pre-Client Team Leader (Superannuation/TPD)

What are we looking for?

The National Superannuation / TPD team is now seeking a Pre-Client Team Leader to join the Melbourne office.

The purpose of this role is to lead the firm’s Super Pre-Client team whose main responsibility is to manage the Super Pre-Client enquiry activities. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is looking for the next step in their career.

In this role you will effectively oversee and manage the day to day operation of the Super Pre-Client team. Acting as a coach and mentor, the position plays an integral role in the development of the Super Pre-Client team, by identifying opportunities to upskill team members, share knowledge, provide performance feedback in a timely manner and to leverage growth opportunities.

Other key responsibilities will include:

- Develop, oversee and manage a team, including manage performance issues and ensuring that the teams’ daily tasks are completed accurately, consistent, on time and to expectations; together with prioritising workload allocation.
- Ensure optimal client experience and increased velocity of Pre-Client enquiries.
- Build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Develop, improve, and maintain initiatives, policies, procedures and systems
- Coordinate, lead and actively participate in regular team meetings.
- Delivery of ad hoc projects and other duties as required.
- Provide weekly reporting
- Other duties as required

What will you bring?

Key to your success in this role will be the following skills and attributes:

- Experience managing a team (desirable)
- Prior knowledge of the superannuation disability insurance processes and procedures (not essential)
- Strong communication skills
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Strong ability to interpret and distil information and data to the team and clients
- Ability to identify and solve problems
- Autonomous and proactive work style, taking initiative and maintaining confidentiality
- Strong Technical skills
