Clinical Coder and or Health Information Manager

**About the Role**
In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely coding of inpatient episodes using ICD-10-AM and ACHI classifications across a varied and complex casemix (including cardiothoracic, bariatrics, orthopaedic and spinal and colorectal surgery).

**About You**
To thrive in this role, you should be adaptable, possess exceptional interpersonal and organisational skills, and constantly demonstrate courtesy and sensitivity when dealing with patients, the public, and fellow team members.

**To be successful in this role you will have**:

- Clinical Coding qualifications from Health Information Management Association of Australia (HIMAA) or equivalent Approved Program, or Bachelor of Health Information Management or equivalent
- Sound and updated knowledge of ICD-10-AM 12th edition, ACHI and Australian Coding Standards 12th Edition
- Previous auditing experience is highly desirable
- Proficiency with the Solventum Codefinder
- Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office, patient management systems and digitised medical record solutions
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Knowledge and understanding of DRG and activity-based funding
- Ability to prioritise tasks and effectively manage time to meet deadlines
- A passion for accurate data and continuous learning.

**About Our Hospital**

Warringal Private Hospital is currently undergoing a major redevelopment. Once the expansion is completed, the hospital will feature 290 single occupancy bedrooms, 14 operating theatres, a new 14 bed Intensive Care Unit, a new Diagnostic Imaging department, a new Emergency Department, a brand new 29 bed Day Surgery Centre plus much more.

**Requirements**:

- _Must provide a _**National Police** check conducted within the previous 12 months
- Depending on the role, Ramsay may require a **Working-With-Children** check and **proof of immunisation** against infectious diseases.
