We are the largest cancer charity in NSW and our point of difference is that we work across every area of every cancer, from research right through to support. **About the team** Based in our Woolloomooloo office reporting to the Philanthropy Manager, this role sits within the Marketing & Fundraising Division. The Philanthropy Team plays a vital role in ensuring the future viability and growth of CCNSW. Major gifts broaden and strengthen our fundraising base through the development of strong and lasting relationships with our major donors, corporate and beneficiary partnerships, trusts and foundations. We seek to establish strategic long-term partnerships closely aligned to our brand. **About the role** This role is responsible for raising funds for Cancer Council mission through best practice grant writing and prospecting to meet agreed revenue growth targets and outcomes for the Philanthropy Team. **Key responsibilities of the role**: - Develop a strategic growth plan for Trust and Foundations to create long term and sustainable growth for the program. - Work with the CEO, Philanthropy Manager and Major Gifts Lead to build high value proposals and assist with pitching and converting them in line with organisational funding priorities. - Collaborate with our mission teams to identify opportunities would benefit from engagement with Trust and Foundations. - Research and scope the Trust and Foundations market to raise the Cancer Council NSW profile and to establish a strong and evolving pipeline of and calendar of grant leads for ongoing relationships. - Work closely with the Trust and Foundations specialist to develop a strong acquittal and impact report process for all existing grant funders. - Negotiate and work closely with the legal team on contracts and agreements. - Budget management of the Trust and Foundations portfolio **About you** - Tertiary qualifications in relevant discipline - A proven track record in successful trust and foundations grant submission or transferrable skills in similar roles - Team management experience - Strong research and grant writing skills. - Exceptional written skills and the ability to develop business proposals from concept stage to conversion. - Strong relationship, influencing, networking and communication skills and proven ability to develop productive, results-focused relationships. - Proven ability to engage high value executive and board members and donor/client style relationships in a strategic and planned manner - Sound project and budget management skills - Team player with positive can do attitude, maturity and confidentiality **About the benefits** - Work in a leading and innovative purpose led organisation - Access to flexible work arrangements including a balanced approach to WFH and office. - Generous salary packaging options that can increase your take home pay by paying certain expenses using pre-tax dollars up to $15,900 a year. - Discounts available for everyday expenses such as private health, retail and fitness. - Recognised for Voice Project's 2021 "Best Workplace" Award.
