We offer a range of services including Harm Reduction and Primary Health Services as well as a range of treatment types (including residential treatment centres, community-based support programs, counselling and withdrawal management services). We are seeking a values-driven and dedicated Support Workers, reporting to the Manager. You will support clients of Canberra Recovery Services through the process of alcohol and other drugs residential rehabilitation, ensuring a safe and structured environment. We have a permanent part-time position available at our Canberra Recovery Services Centre in Fyshwick.

This is a permanent part-time position, 15.2 hours per week.

You will successfully
- Provide appropriate support to participants in line with established frameworks
- Assist case workers to address client needs, administer the program, contribute to case plans and provide supervision to participants.
- Demonstrate commitment to an environment that values continuous improvement and innovation in the delivery of high-quality services Monitor participant movements in and out of the centre, ensuring only appropriate records are maintained
- Manage reception desk, including incoming calls and visitors to the centre

You will have
- Minimum of Certificate IV level qualification in a relevant discipline (AOD, Community Services, Case Management)
- Completed 4 AOD Skill Set Units (or willing to undertake/complete during employment)
- At least 2 years experience in recovery, if applicable
- Knowledge of AOD/gambling, community services and health sectors (preferably residential treatment settings)
- Demonstrated experience and ability to work with those impacted by substance abuse, gambling and mental health conditions
- Experience working with people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds and religions
- Experience working in collaboration with other organisations
- Must be available for some overnight shifts
- A current First aid certificate or willingness to obtain
- A current drivers licence
- A current ACT Working with Vulnerable People's check
- A willingness to undergo a National Police check
