An opportunity has become available for motivated **QA Technician** to join our **QA** **Department** team in **Coolaroo, Melbourne** on **Full-Time employment basis**.
**Key Responsibilities**:Carry out daily review of GMP in the factory (operational areas) and externally, and help regulate company policies and procedures regarding food safety and compliance
- Carry out daily review of GMP in the factory (operational areas) and externally, and help regulate company policies and procedures regarding food safety and compliance
- Conduct Internal Audits (e.g., pre-operational checks, GMP etc.) throughout the site
- Perform daily verification on quality and food safety records
- Assist with organoleptic assessments - Daily, carry out organoleptic product assessments and check retention samples on their best before date evaluate the quality and freshness.
- Review, amend and maintain packing specifications for the production areas
- Inspect returned stock with quality issues, and report on findings
- Help investigate customer feedback reports and internal corrective actions
- Assist with product traceability and RM inspections for quality
- Assist QA with labelling, production trials and first production runs
- Maintain sites calibration register for testing and measuring equipment
- Assist QA team with site audits and corrective actions
- Assist QA Manager with additional testing or new process improvement projects, and product assessment trials
- Assist Production with Quality Control duties when required, and with any QA related activities, in the absence of other team members

**Skills / Experience Required**
- Previous experience in a similar role
- HACCP trained
- Extensive experience in the food industry or in a food safety inspection role will be an added advantage
- High level of computer literacy including MS Office suite
- Good analytical, problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Be reliable, hardworking and self-motivated
- Be able to work in a team environment
- Must have Australian unlimited working rights e.g. Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident
