Mathematics Leader

**Role Description/Criteria**

We are looking for a passionate and dedicated leader to join our supportive team. If you love fostering curiosity, building strong relationships, and making a meaningful impact, this role is for you The position as Mathematics Leader/STEM Teacher will include leading mathematics within the school and developing and implementing an exciting STEM program.

**The successful applicant will**:

- have an understanding and commitment to the Science of Learning
- be open to the implementation of the Direct Explicit Instruction pedagogy
- have a strong interest in leading mathematics, including data analysis and the effective implementation of strategies to support and strengthen teacher development and student outcomes
- be able to lead the analysis of, and deliver the effective use of, data to adapt teaching
- have a strong interest in developing a robust STEM program
- be able to work in a supportive team and have the capacity to establish, contribute to and maintain positive workplace relationships
- be an engaged member of the school Leadership team
- be committed to ongoing professional learning

**To be considered for this position you must**:

- have an understanding of the ethos of a Catholic school and be committed to its mission;
- be committed to the safety, wellbeing and protection of all children in our care;
- have appropriate registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching.
- have accreditation to teach Religious Education in Catholic schools or be willing to undertake such accreditation.
- have a proven strength in teaching and/or leading mathematics.
- have proven experience teaching STEM and Digitech (coding and computational thinking).
- have a strong understanding of contemporary educational trends in STEM teaching and learning.
