**Description**
Excellent opportunity to gain exposure to local council by join an collaborative council in the Illawarra region of New South Wales as a Project Officer. Immediate start.

**About the Company**
The role is a 35 hours per week on a 6-month contract with opportunity to be extended. The role entails you to support the team of Project Managers.

**About the Position**
As the Project Manager you will be responsible for liaising with internal and external stakeholders, identifying and conducting maintenance works on a variety of council’s assets. Great opportunity to transition into a Project Manager role.

**Duties**
- Procurement
- Contract Admin
- Liaise with contractors
- Stakeholder liaison
- Budget and Forecasting

**Skills & **Experience**
- Tertiary or Trade Qualification in a building related discipline is preferable
- Commitment to customer service and quality assurance processes
- Proven record as a Contracts Administrator/ Project Officers
- Great verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent decision making skills
