This dynamic role focuses on overseeing the legal cultivation, production and manufacture of controlled drugs. Our Compliance Inspectors conduct thorough inspections and regulatory activities to ensure compliance with the Narcotic Drugs Act 1967. From providing education, preventing diversion, issuing infringement notices and potentially pursuing legal action.

Position Duties:

- Provide support to senior staff within ODC by assisting in the collection and analysis of data relating to various compliance activities undertaken against entities licensed under the Act
- Provide support to staff within ODC on proposed compliance actions for identified breaches of the Act
- Prepare high quality documentation to support compliance and enforcement activities to completion
- Participate in, and provide support to senior inspectors during inspections of entities licenced under the Act
- Engage and maintain a variety of internal and external stakeholders to identify ways to improve compliance and cross agency cooperation
- Perform administrative functions to support the section, including managing the team mailbox, undertaking secretariat duties, and addressing incoming team phone calls as necessary
- Assist in the maintenance of a quality management system by coordinating the development of SOPs, templates, and training materials.
