Rumin8 is tackling one of the biggest contributors to climate change: methane emissions from livestock. The digestive process of beef and dairy cattle produces a full 3.7% of all greenhouse gas emissions, a huge contribution from a single source. With billions of people around the world relying on animal products as part of their daily diet, eliminating livestock methane production is a powerful lever in the quest toward mitigating climate change.

Rumin8’s technology is demonstrating reduction of emissions from cattle by up to 95%. Our technology replicates the anti-methanogenic compounds that occur naturally in plants and turns them into dietary supplements for livestock. By reducing methane production, we enable the animal to convert otherwise lost energy into increased productivity, a win for farmers and a win for our planet.

About this role

As Rumin8 scales the business and validates its product line, we need to build the financial infrastructure to buttress our enormous projected growth. As our Chief Financial Officer, you will own planning, implementing, managing, and controlling all financial related activities of the company. As a ground floor team member, you will establish the foundational practices and systems, and build an exceptional team to meet increasingly global company needs. You will act as an advisor to the leadership team and you will partner with internal and external stakeholders on projects to make them more productive and profitable.
**You will**:

- Establish and lead a global finance function, including its information systems, procedures, processes, and team
- Manage the development and execution of budgets and forecasts
- Provide statutory and regular reports to board
- Establish relationships with internal stakeholders to support departmental finance needs and optimize capital expenditure
- Develop and manage relationships with financial institutions
- Own the relationship with our IT asset, ensuring the company’s IT system is secure and relevant
- Ensure statutory compliance and oversee risk management
- Collaborate on the execution of a fully funded commercial scale manufacturing plant, delivering it on time and on budget

**You have**:

- 15+ years of progressive experience in finance roles
- Excellent strategic commercial acumen and decision making ability
- Exceptional written and verbal executive presentation skills to influentially deliver information to senior audiencesT
- he ability to work in a dynamic, scaling, and at times ambiguous startup environment
- Demonstrated history of implementing scalable processes for rapidly growing companies
- CA/CPA or equivalent
- Experience in ag, biotech, or pharmaceutical specifically building manufacturing capability
- Experience in a research and development environment
- Located in Perth (preferred) or Australia (required)
