**The Position**

Working out of our Forrestfield depot the role of Logistics Planner & Scheduler will be responsible for the efficient and effective coordination of daily inbound and outbound freight movements.

The position requires an experienced, energetic individual who leads from the front and has strong communication skills. They will have experience planning and allocating freight pick-ups and deliveries involving a fleet of both rigid and articulated vehicles.

The successful applicant will ensure outstanding customer service standards are achieved and operational targets are met while keeping safety as their number one priority.

**Key responsibilities include but are not limited to**:

- Effectively creating and executing the metropolitan fleet pick-up and delivery schedules
- Planning loads in accordance to transport and customers' needs
- Continuously reviewing allocated resources and schedules to deal with changes in the operating environment
- Liaising with drivers throughout the shift to ensure deliveries are conducted in accordance with agreed schedules and delivery windows
- Facilitating proactive communication of information between teams to ensure customer satisfaction through clear communication of any delivery issues
- Ensuring drivers are aware of and comply with specific supplier requirements regarding freight
- Meeting Delivery in Full on Time (DIFOT) performance targets
- Planning multi-drop and pick-ups for a large fleet of trucks
- Working as part of a team with a strong Customer Service focus.
- Thinking on their feet and making informed decisions
- Working in an open plan, dynamic fast paced operational environment
- Remaining positive whilst working under pressure & constantly delivering results
- Liaising with internal and external stakeholders to ensure service targets are met
- Using their planning, problem solving and analytical skills to work through issues with moderate complexity
- Medium to advanced MS Office skills (Excel & Word)
