**About the Role**:
In accordance with our 'Life Care Way' you are responsible for assisting 'people in our service' through actively creating and promoting an environment that will enhance each person’s life experience.

Reporting to the Lifestyle Coordinator, you will assist clients to reach their greatest potential by maximising their independence and promoting an environment that will enhance their ability to Live Every Day.

Working in partnership with our families and volunteers, you will achieve this by providing care and engagement to our clients through the effective delivery of social and/or engagement programs.

You will contribute to creating a safe and supportive environment for residents, promoting independence, dignity and optimal wellbeing.

**About You**:
We are seeking to appoint a warm, friendly individual on a full-time basis who has the ability to relate to older people with empathy and understanding. You will possess excellent organisational and time management skills, and a competent level of computer literacy.

**Your education and experience**
- Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing) or equivalent
- Experience providing service and personal care to older people
- Good understanding of the requirements to support residents living with dementia including those who display challenging behaviours
- Specific experience in working with Older People affected by dementia
- Sound problem solving skills particularly when assessing balancing a resident’s desire for independence and self determination to make their own choices against potential risks and duty of care
- Good communication, organisation and relationship building skills as well as a passion for geriatric care

**Further requirements**:

- Evidence of Covid vaccination including booster
- Seasonal flu vaccination evidence
- NCC Police Check to work in Aged Care
