Barista/ Retail Assistant

We are seeking an enthusiastic individual who is incredibly organised, pays great attention to detail and enjoys the rush of a retail/ cafe environment. The role is casual, based at our Pakenham Store.

**Responsibilities**
- All aspects of producing a high-quality coffee
- Execution of food and beverage recipes
- Counter sales of food items
- Counter sales of retail items
- Correct storage, replenishing and rotating stock
- Maintain exceptional food hygiene practices
- Maintain and clean equipment and work areas
- Execution of ordering for both the café and retail lines
- Pricing and putting away stock
- Recommending product to customers

**Skills, Experience and Attributes**
- You are serious about coffee
- Experience in making coffee preferred / willingness to learn our coffee procedures.
- Ability to run a smooth organised service
- Interest in wholefood, healthy lifestyle & natural health
- Even temperament and keen team player
- Ability to self-motivate, implement and take ownership
- Professional manner and excellent communication skills
- Computer literacy
- Knowledge of natural products will be a bonus, motivation to learn is essential

**Job Type**: Casual

Pay: $24.20 - $32.63 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 35 per week

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Fixed shift
- Monday to Friday
- Morning shift
- Rotating roster
- Weekend availability

**Experience**:

- Barista: 1 year (preferred)
- Customer service: 1 year (preferred)
- Food handling: 1 year (preferred)

Work Authorisation:

- Australia (preferred)

Work Location: In person
