Melba Support Services are actively recruiting for a Disability Support Worker to join us on a casual to permanent basis in Drouin to provide regular support for a lady to access her community.

You will work alongside an engaged, committed, and expert team to ensure the people we support lead happy and fulfilling lives.

**What You’ll do**
- Provide support to connect to the individual with her new community through social activities at local centers such as cooking, art and craft and other lifestyle courses etc..
- Provide support to the individual to develop confidence and new friendship connections.
- Implement support plans based on supported persons needs, preferences and interests
- Help with all aspects of daily living from getting up in the morning to going to bed at night
- Aid people to get to their chosen activities like social events, work and appointments
- Promote personal choice and control for the person.

**Qualifications and Experience**
- A passion for enabling and working with people
- Desire for meaningful work and comfortable providing people with daily living support
- Willingness to learn new skills, undertake ongoing training
- Willingness to work as part of a team

**You will also bring with you or be willing to obtain**:

- NDIS Worker screening Check
- Working with Children Check
- Unrestricted Australian Driver’s License and will need their own car for local travel
- Evidence of COVID-19 vaccination status, including booster
- Current First Aid Certificate with CPR
- Availability of up to 18 hours per week
