The Role

We are seeking strong, resilient, and passionate Support Workers who can confidently support NDIS participants with high intensity mental health needs and complex disabilities.

This role involves supporting participants in Parkville and Bacchus Marsh, with tailored requirements for each location:
Parkville (Mental Health - High Intensity)
- Participant requires support worker experienced with high intensity mental health clients, should be good if person has experience working with Alzheimer's disease
- Must be comfortable working Day & night shifts both (Tuesdays, Wednesday, Sunday)
- One client completely bed ridden and needs high personal care
- Must be comfortable supporting a participant who is a frequent smoker.
- Strong de-escalation and behavioural support skills required
- Car is must.

Bacchus Marsh (Physical Disability)
- Participant has a Physical disability (requires high physical support)
- Support worker must be comfortable working around pets (cats)
- Must be available Mondays, early afternoon until evening
- Own transport is essential

Key Duties
- Provide 1:1 psychosocial and emotional support
- Assist with daily living, medication prompts, and personal care
- Facilitate community access and encourage social inclusion
- Respond calmly and professionally to behaviours of concern
- Maintain accurate shift notes and incident reports
- Collaborate with families, clinicians, and other team members
- Ensure participant dignity, safety, and NDIS compliance

You Bring
- Genuine empathy, patience, and trauma-informed mindset
- Strong communication and conflict de-escalation skills
- Ability to adapt quickly and stay calm under pressure
- Flexibility to work night shifts (Parkville) or afternoons (Bacchus Marsh)
- Professionalism, accountability, and commitment to outcomes

**Requirements**:

- Cert IV or higher in Mental Health, Disability, or Community Services
- NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain)
- Working With Children Check (Employee)
- First Aid & CPR certification
- Current Driver’s License + Fully Insured Vehicle
- Minimum 6 months experience supporting individuals with mental health or complex needs

Bonus Points For
- Lived experience or peer work
- Crisis intervention or dual diagnosis experience
- Familiarity with NDIS documentation & compliance
