Attention Exercise Physiologists

This is an exciting opportunity for an Exercise Physiologist (new graduate or one to two years experience) looking to make a meaningful impact in the lives of individuals with diverse disabilities and mental health conditions. - Start with our highly regarded onboarding course, where you’ll learn about various types of disabilities and how to best work with each type.
- Be mentored on the job with weekly mentoring, moving to fortnightly once you’ve reached your initial KPIs and developed specialised skills in disability fitness training and communication skills.
- Participate in our team monthly workshops as a learner and a lecturer to develop your presentation skills.
- Learn how to develop and use Evidence-Based Practice (EBP) to work with high-needs and non-verbal participants.
- Use progressive overload strength training, clinical physiology, and cardiovascular endurance training to achieve measurable outcomes.
- Long-Term Client Relationships: Work with clients on a long-term basis (average 12 months), allowing you to build meaningful relationships and see tangible progress.

**Duties Include**
- Training participants one-on-one and in small group settings.
- Conducting initial assessments and progress assessments
- Writing comprehensive client notes
- Writing clients progress reports
- Writing NDIS plan review reports
- Assisting in various types of administrative and business development tasks.

**What is Fit n Able Looking For**
- Qualifications: ESSA Accredited and registered Exercise Physiologist, new graduate or limited experience.
- Motivated and passionate to work with people with disabilities.
- A strong understanding of strength training techniques.
- Excellent communicator with a good sense of humour.
- Energetic and positive attitude.
- Good written and computer skills.
- Ability to think for yourself and solve problems.
- Willingness to learn new methodologies and communication strategies tailored to individuals with autism and intellectual disabilities.

- Professional Insurance
- Current CPR & First Aid Certificates
- Complete NDIS Orientation Module (once employed)

- Level 1 Boxing Instructor Certificate (within 8 weeks of employment).

Pay: $80,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
