**Adventure Pathways - **Wirraway **Homestead**

Our Adventure Pathways program offers a variety of services such as campsite and expedition based outdoor activities in the scenic Adelaide Hills just outside Strathalbyn. Using adventure-based therapies and the beauty of the outdoors, we host over 12000 people connect to themselves, to others, God, and the natural world through outdoor experiences.

Wirraway Homestead, based in the idyllic Adelaide Hills, is a unique camp that combines Australian Settler style accommodation together with horse riding activities, ropes courses, adventure programs and more

**About the role**:
As one of our Horse Riding Instructors, you’ll be responsible for providing fun and safe horse riding lessons to campers. You’ll also be required to feed and care for our amazing Wirraway horses. You’ll work closely with our guests and their group leaders to ensure a memorable and fun experience.

Your key duties and responsibilities will include things such as:

- Instructing all horse sessions, including mounted, unmounted and trail riding expeditions
- Ensuring all daily jobs are completed in a timely and thorough manner
- Assisting with the regular cleaning and maintenance of the horse riding area

**About you**:
You will be passionate about all things horse riding and enjoy sharing your knowledge with other people. You are a strong team player who thrives in a role where you can bring fun and excitement to our guests (many of whom may never have ridden a horse before)

You will also have the following skills and experience:

- Accredited Horse Riding Instructor certificate (Horse Safety Australia)
- Extensive experience in horse riding, and working with horses
- The ability to facilitate and manage groups of people (various ages)
- Working knowledge of safe work practices and risk management standards

**Specific Requirements**:

You will be required to have, or be willing to obtain:

- Accredited Horse Riding Instructor certification
- Full unrestricted South Australia Driver’s Licence
- DHS Child-Related Employment Screening or Working With Children check
- National Police Clearance
- Safe Environments for Children and Young People training
- Valid and current Provide First Aid and CPR training
