**The Role**
**As a Kitchen Steward, you will support our kitchen brigade in maintaining cleanliness and organisation throughout all kitchen areas.**
This role will be responsible for contributing to the smooth operation of our kitchen operations ensuring a high standard of hygiene and food safety.
**To be successful in this position, you will have**:
- Your keen interest in cleaning and organising workplace/ kitchen
- Good understanding of cleaning and manual handling
- Good understanding of Work Health and Safety
- Experience in a similar role within a dynamic environment
- The ability to thrive in a changing and high paced environment
- A positive attitude and good communication skills
- An understanding of food safety standards
- The ability to work in collaboration in a team environment and also independently
- Availability to work on rotating roster across all days of the week with morning and afternoon shifts
**Your Skills and Experience**

**Essential**
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently as required
**Desirable**:
- Experience in food preparation in the health care industry
- Food hygiene Certificate preferred, but training can be provided
- Excellent time management skills.
**Remuneration**:On offer is an hourly rate ranging from **$26.50 - $28.52 + casual loading + superannuation based on qualifications and experience, **exclusive of penalties and allowances.
