**About the Role**

As the Recreational Activities Officer, you will drive the energy, engagement, and participation of residents into a range of social, recreational, and cultural activities. You will also lead mental health and wellbeing programs which empower our resident's choices and independence. **This role will have you working shifts on Friday(full day), Saturday(half day) and Sunday(half day).**

**Duties**
- Plan, organise, and lead activities for our residents that will meet social and recreational needs while also promoting independence and increasing quality of life.
- Assess and document the effectiveness of the programs, by tracking residents' progress and changing the programs as needed

**Skills and Experience**
- Minimum of a Cert III in Leisure and Lifestyle
- Senior First Aid Certificate is essential
- Previous experience within an aged or community care setting
- Highly developed organisation and time management skills
- The ability to solve problems independently
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- An understanding of Resident Rights, Aged Care Accreditation Standards and Outcomes

This is part of compliance and needs to be completed prior to commencement - successful applicants will have this cost reimbursed upon commencement.
