This Coordinator position will see you manage the day-to-day operations of the Service. This service places a strong focus on educator wellbeing with opportunities for educators to access mental health services, flexible shift arrangements & a family friendly culture. We are seeking a motivated, well-informed, and enthusiastic leader who will be responsible for engaging, leading, and inspiring a team of Educators. **About the role**: - Full-time Coordinator role (Nominated Supervisor) - Flexibility with shift structures to ensure work/life balance - You will lead and mentor a team of long-standing educators including 2 permanent part-time responsible persons (with the service for 3 years) + a pool of regular casual educators - Assist to manage the everyday operations of the Service, mentor staff on the floor, create programs, and engage with stakeholders, families, and children. - Work with families with a wide range of diverse needs. **A little more about this Service**: - Supportive environment where educators can access mental health services. - Service offers opportunities for growth & development through ongoing professional development opportunities & support of career progression. - Supportive workplace with a group of engaged and dedicated staff and an understanding General Manager. - All team members have unique strengths and come from diverse backgrounds. However, they share their passion for working with children and are excited to welcome a new Assistant Coordinator/Educational Leader to the Centre. - An extensive selection of activities offered, with the occasional special program such as swim school, Kung Fu, and local library initiatives. - A designated OSHC space and separate, off-site office space. About you: - You are passionate about working with children and implementing exciting programs that offer opportunities for exploration and wonder - A confident, flexible, and approachable leader, who is also professional, and compliance driven. - A positive role model for children and other educators. - Able to engage all educators to contribute to the planning cycle and creation of programs each week. - You are a leader who enjoys mentoring educators in their professional practice - You have a good understanding the National Quality Framework and all it entails including the National Law & Regulations, National Quality Standards, and the Guiding Principles of the NQF - You understand the National Principles of Child Safe Organisations and endeavour to implement them in your everyday practice - You are reflective and are always striving for continuous improvement - You are a clear communicator and enjoy building strong relationships with children, families, educators, and the wider community **Pre-requisites**: - Experience working in an OSHC leadership position - Valid and current NSW Paid Working with Children Check - Although a qualification isn’t essential, a Certificate or Diploma of Children Services or working towards a qualification will be looked upon fondly. **Child Safety**: Looking for an individual that understands, adheres, and promotes The National Principles for Child Safe Organisations. In your position, you will create a culture, adopt strategies, and take action to promote child wellbeing and prevent harm to children and young people. **A Working with Children Check applies to this position.
