About the Organisation

Founded in the early 2000, the company has enjoyed significant and sustained year on year growth under the direction of its founder and CEO. With a successful history in both Clinical Trials (full-service Contract Research Management) and Regulatory Affairs (Consulting), a new Biometrics (Data Management and Biostatistics) business unit was added in 2021 to increase the businesses breadth of capabilities and offering to clients. Despite rapid growth and a client base now spanning Australia, EMEA and North America, the business has maintained its human centricity and a ‘family business’ feel, with a strong focus on its people, creating impacts that matter, and the pursuit of better human health.

Whilst still a relatively small business with a Melbourne Head Office and staff based on the East coast of Australia, the organisation has a well defined structure aligned to its business model and servicing client needs, with key senior roles in Business Development & Marketing, Operations and a CFO already in place.

This opportunity now exists for an addition to the current advisory board, in particular to bring in someone with direct or closely related industry and sector experience.

The Opportunity

This role will appeal to someone with shared values and ‘sense of purpose’, and represents a relatively unique opportunity to leverage industry expertise and passion to drive tangible and meaningful changes. The business is privately owned, in a strong financial position, with high retention and referral rates for key National and International clients. The executive leadership team and current advisory board is nimble and pragmatic, providing a platform for an established leader to join and to make a difference.

**Key advisory tasks include**:
Providing expert input into current operations and future planning for the business

Helping guide the client acquisition processes and marketing reach activities

Advising on strategic and tactical growth activities

Assisting with maintaining insights into industry trends and opportunities

Imputing to Company short and long term objectives

Contributing to key Board decision making areas

Actively participate in monthly Board meetings

Provide responses/advice to key business members

About You

Ideal to a successful partnership would be;
Circa 15 years' plus related industry experience, ideally with any combination of exposure to competitors, clients, and/or government/regulators

Experience working in an international environment with both local and multinational customers and connection

Strong commerciality and executive-level insight from the industry, with sound knowledge of trends and drivers in CRO and regulatory affairs

Other board experience would be advantageous but not pre-requisite

A passion for the industry and a desire to make an impact that matters in health
