Early Childhood Educator

**Little Kindy** is now seeking an experienced Early Childhood Educator (**Certificate 3 / Diploma**) for our **Thebarton** centre on a fixed term basis with a view to permanent part-time.

As an Early Childhood Educator, you will be expected to be an active member of a team which provides high-quality early childhood education and care to children, whilst partnering with parents. Little Kindy Dover Gardens is a small, family owned centre that prides itself on a warm and inclusive environment for children, families and team members.

The role is ideally suited to an experienced Cert 3 / Diploma qualified Educator that is flexible and adaptive with their time.

**Selection Criteria**:
A Cert 3 or Diploma level qualification in Children's Services as identified by the Australian Children's Education and Care Quality Authority;
A Demonstrated understanding of:

- National Quality Framework (NQF);
- Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF);
- Child Protection and Mandatory Reporting;
- Workplace Health and Safety issues and practices

A minimum of 1 year' experience working as a Child Care Educator within an early childhood service;
Knowledge of the stages of physical, emotional, cognitive, social and cultural development of children;
The capability to engage children through activities and experiences appropriate for age groups/stages of development;
Knowledge of health, hygiene and the nutrition needs of children;
The ability to communicate effectively with children, families and staff;
Experience in / or interest in additional needs / challenging behaviours;
A commitment to your own ongoing professional development in early childhood;
The ability to undertake the physical requirements involved within an early childhood setting:
Child protection qualification;
Current First Aid Certificate, Anaphylaxis and Asthma Management training;
