Looking for a hands-on career where you can work outdoors, solve problems, and make a real impact in your community? As a **Lineworker Apprentice** with Western Power in **Moora**, you’ll help power local homes and businesses - all while living in one of WA’s key agricultural and community-focused regional towns.

**What Does a Lineworker Do?**

Lineworkers build, maintain, and repair the overhead powerlines that supply electricity across WA. You’ll work outdoors in a team, doing physical, hands-on tasks like:

- Installing and maintaining powerlines
- Climbing poles or using elevated work platforms
- Replacing poles, conductors, and transformers
- Safely isolating and switching the network
- Assisting with power restoration after storms or faults

**About the Apprenticeship**

This **4-year program** combines:

- On-the-job training alongside experienced Lineworkers
- Classroom-based learning to develop technical skills

By the end of your apprenticeship, you’ll gain a **nationally recognised trade qualification** and be ready for a long-term career in the energy industry.

**Who We’re Looking For**

We’re seeking motivated, safety-focused individuals who enjoy active work and want to build a meaningful career.

You’ll need to:

- Have completed Year 11 (including passes in English and Maths)
- Hold a WA ‘C’ Class Driver’s Licence
- Be 18+ by 9 February 2026
- Communicate well and work in a team
- Show strong work ethic and commitment to safety
- Be open to rotating between different WA depots
- A Certificate III pre-apprenticeship is a bonus, but not essential._

**What to Expect**

The recruitment process includes:

- Psychometric testing and interview
- Literacy and numeracy assessment
- Assessment Centre (30 September - 3 October)
- Medical, drug and alcohol screening
