**About the role**

This role is within the Cumberland Area of the Greater Sydney Branch, managing 22 reserves in Western Sydney. A small team within the Area is dedicated to the establishment of this new national park and you will work closely with the project management team, field and ranger staff, the NPWS Establishment and Activation Unit and external stakeholders to deliver on this important NSW Government commitment to protect koalas in south-west Sydney.

**About You**

To be successful in the role, you will be able to:

- Contribute to the development, delivery and review of projects within the team; oversee the day to day operations of individual projects and where directed, supervise assigned staff and contractors.
- Prepare and maintain project documentation for reporting, monitoring and evaluation purposes to ensure accessibility of quality information and contribute to the achievement of project outcomes.
- Communicate with key stakeholders and coordinate working groups, committees and consultations to facilitate exchange of information and support project completion in line with project plans.
- Source, collate and compile data and information to identify emerging issues and track and report on project progress against established milestones and deliverables.
- Undertake research and analysis, identifying trends and preparing project briefs, to support informed decision-making and planning.
- Liaise with key internal and external stakeholders to ensure the smooth delivery of projects, including monitoring and reporting of project budgets, resource requirements, stakeholder engagement, contract administration, and procurement.
- Develop and maintain working relationships with relevant internal and external personnel and provide technical support and training to staff.

**Essential Requirements -**

- Appropriate tertiary qualifications and/or equivalent relevant working experience in project management.
- Experience in development and delivery of projects, including the development of project plans, monitoring of project timelines, budgets and reporting requirements, and contract administration.
