The Piped Stormwater Drain Cleaning Team ensures the cleanliness and functionality of stormwater drainage assets. This role involves inspecting, cleaning, and maintaining stormwater pipes, drainage structures and side entry pits to meet compliance standards.

This is a permanent position based at the City's Operations Centre in Maddington.

**In this role, you will**:

- Clean and maintain stormwater pipes, drainage structures, and entry pits to prevent blockages and ensure proper drainage
- Read and interpret Before You Dig Australia notices and drainage plans to complete work safely and accurately
- Conduct inspections to identify and address obstructions or damage in stormwater infrastructure
- Operate CCTV equipment to assess drainage conditions and manage recorded data
- Safely operate and maintain the City's drain-cleaning vehicle and equipment

**What we are looking for**

To be successful, you must be able to demonstrate:

- Sound knowledge of stormwater drain cleaning and maintenance practices
- Capacity to address, and contribute solutions to, challenges related to pipe drain maintenance
- Ability to work effectively within a team environment
- Willingness to assist in all aspects of engineering operations
- A strong work ethic and positive attitude.

**Essential requirements**
- MR driver's licence
- White Card
