Deliver strategic Agrochemical research and development programs across ANZ

**_ Where do you want to go?_**:
This is a key leadership position within the Bayer CropScience ANZ business, directly reporting into Head of Field Solutions APAC.

You will be responsible for leading a customer driven and long term focused localised field development and product support program of work, ensuring the mid to long term stability and expansion of the BCS business. This will be achieved, by defining and communicating the strategy, delivering an efficient and high quality implantation project whilst managing localised risks.

You will be technically strong in Field Solutions/Agrochemical research and development with the ability to positively motivate and influence 20 direct reports, to deliver your plan with operational safety and quality of product at the forefront of everything they do.

Comfortable working collaboratively with international stakeholders, you will be able to advocate for your business area and positively represent and defend Bayer FS in governance and industry body meetings.

Ensure the efficient, safe and compliant execution of all field development activities and projects according to planned timelines and within budgets to meet new regulatory requirements.
- Develop, drive and implement strategies in alignment with Small Molecules, Seeds, Traits and Biologics to optimize the product portfolio for various crops.
- Ensure all development activities comply with relevant international and country safety laws and guidelines.
- Advocate and implement optimal resource allocation cross all projects, providing transparency concerning developmental costs, resource utilization and timeline deliverables.
- Develop and maintain a positive team culture through enhancement of skills and knowledge to meet changing business needs.
- Contribute to the portfolio strategy, by providing expert knowledge in close collaboration with the Regulatory Science function to support overall portfolio growth.
- Co-drive and ensure successful implementation of Life-Cycle management strategy.
- Drive technical knowledge transfer, through collaboration and information exchanges with internal interdependent departments
- Positively represent and defend Field Solutions, within governance meetings and external industry bodies.
- Inform and manage business risk associated with product performance, customer complaints, product stewardship and local/international legislation.

**_ Does this sound like you?_**:

- Substantial experience in Agrochemical research and development, backed by a Tertiary qualification in Agricultural Science/ or an Agronomic discipline.
- Strong understanding of Agrochemical product development processes within global and ANZ markets
- Broad based knowledge of major crop segments within ANZ
- Capability to positively represent Field Solutions at internal and external meetings
- A Strong network of connections within the industry, with the ability to build robust and mutually rewarding internal inter-departmental relationships
- Strong risk management skills
- Resilience and tact to navigate a heavily regulated environment
- Provide ability to lead a geographically dispersed team
