Dietitian Grade 1

We are very excited to offer a highly sought-after casual Grade 1 Dietitian position to join our Allied Health team at Epworth Eastern

In this casual role, you will be responsible for providing optimal Dietetic services & positive clinical outcomes to patients, to ensure positive long-term health & well being outcomes. To be successful in this role you must be a passionate & highly motivated Dietitian, committed to evidence based & multidisciplinary care.

**You will make an impact by**:

- Providing nutrition advice, support, counselling and education to patients and their family/carers
- Actively participating as a member of the department and multidisciplinary team
- Ensuring quality activities & opportunities for improvement are actively explored and holistic best practice care achieved
- Participating in ongoing professional development by upgrading clinical competencies and knowledge and participating in both internal and external educational opportunities
- Demonstrating empathy and compassion and encouraging patient and family members participation in all stages of care
- Being committed to evidenced-based, patient centred care across acute clinical dietetics

**To be successful in this role you will have**:

- Previous acute hospital experience (desirable)
- The ability to work with key stakeholders to deliver superior patient care and outcomes
- A quality and risk focused approach to clinical practice, patient care and decision making
- Strong work ethic and time management skills
- Commitment to delivering an exceptional patient experience

Located in Box Hill, Epworth Eastern is a state-of-the-art facility with 14 theatres and expansion of ICU to 12 beds. Epworth Eastern maintains a broad clinical focus from cardiac, vascular, orthopaedic and general surgery to oncology, urology and endoscopy services. **Qualifications**:

- Bachelor / Masters of Nutrition and Dietetics or equivalent
- Eligibility for full membership with Dietitians Association Australia
- Eligible for the APD program
