**Part-time Opportunity**

We are seeking a Youth Pastor to join our team at Arana Hills Church of Christ. As Youth Pastor, you will play an integral role in supporting and caring for our youth community, facilitating their spiritual growth and development. Initially, the position will be paid at 1 day per week, with the view to expand as required.

**CHEMISTRY**:
This position requires someone equipped with a “can-do” attitude and a readiness to be a team player. Arana’s leadership consists of Elders, Church Leadership Council (CLC), and Staff; together these teams holistically serve the congregation through shared giftings.

**COMPETENCY**:
You will need to be a competent individual who is equipped to handle the following responsibilities:

- Oversight, organisation, and coordination of logístical/events/activities involved with running the Youth program of Arana Hills Church of Christ
- Coordinating and facilitating the support and care of all youth through leading the Youth Ministry
- Shaping a culture of pastoral care in connection with the Staff team
- Provide some pastoral care to those in crisis and emergencies
- Supporting and caring for Youth leaders and volunteers
- Helping new people integrate into the life of the congregation in conjunction with other Staff members

**Regular engagements would include attending**:

- Sunday Night Services
- Attend Staff team meetings once a month (Mondays), meet with Senior Pastor and/or Associate Pastor
- Evening meetings if and when required (i.e. leadership meetings, visiting groups)
- Be present at Youth gatherings on Friday nights

**Preferred skills**:

- Communication and presentation skills
- Community development and missional mindset
- Basic technology skills (i.e. Microsoft Programs)
- Friendly, enthusiastic, and positive attitude
- Passionate people person
- Experience working in a church environment

**TERMS OF APPOINTMENT**:
This is a part-time (1-day per week) role offered on a three-year basis, approval of appointment and extensions rest with the authority of the church membership. (NOTE: The appointment and terms of the role are dictated and managed by the CLC directly).
