**The Role**
The Geochemistry Division of ALS Laboratory Group is looking for people to fill roles within the Fire Assay section at our facility in Canning Vale.

This is a

**Fire Assay** is a process for the analysis of precious metals in mineral samples. If you are used to working with your hands, being active and following set procedures, you can utilize your laboring or manufacturing process skills to build a new career path in the Analytical Services Industry.

As you build your experience in this role, you can earn higher rates of pay, with the addition of shift allowances of 15% for the afternoon shift and 20% for the night shift. Additionally, penalty rates are paid for any weekend or other overtime (optional) and are added to the hourly rate.

**The Day to Day**
Responsibilities include:

- Following set procedures and attention to detail
- Working on a weekly rotating Monday to Friday 8hr shifts of days/afternoons
- Working under pressure and to strict deadlines
- Working in a hot, manual-intensive work environment
- Able to be flexible and reliable to meet the high demands of the section
