Expressions of interest are invited from ongoing and temporary employees within the NSW Public Sector who wish to be considered for this temporary role for a period up to December 2025.
**About the Role**
Join the **Capability Development** team, as our new **Associate**, within the Emergency Management branch in the Delivery and Engagement group. You will play a key role in supporting and driving policy development and project work that enhances emergency management capabilities and fosters resilience and efficiency across the NSW Government.
You will design, deliver and evaluate state-significant projects and foundational emergency management training material. You will undertake analysis to provide detailed recommendations and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective policy implementation, capability uplift and continuous improvement across the NSW emergency management sector.
Your work will directly contribute to shaping strategic initiatives that enhance emergency management arrangements and support the implementation of existing legislation, frameworks, policies, guidelines, and plans.

**What We're Looking For**
- ** Emergency Management Knowledge**:Experience or interest in emergency management, including an awareness and understanding of relevant policies and arrangements
- ** Policy & Training Development**: Proven experience in developing, reviewing, and evaluating public policy and strategic initiatives. Experience in the development of training resources would be advantageous but is not essential
- ** Project Management**:Experience managing complex projects, including planning, stakeholder engagement, and delivering outcomes on time
- ** Stakeholder Engagement**:Strong ability to liaise with a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders, including government agencies and external partners
- ** Analytical Skills**: Expertise in analysing complex issues, providing well-researched recommendations, and preparing clear, concise reports
- ** Collaboration & Teamwork**: Ability to work effectively within a team, fostering a cooperative environment and contributing to shared goals
- ** Technology**: An eagerness to learn new systems and processes. Experience in administering learning management systems, particularly in an emergency management context, will be highly regarded.

**Salary**: Clerk Grade 7/8. Package includes base salary ($110,266 - $122,058) plus superannuation (11.5%) and leave loading.
