**The Role**
As the Swim School Manager at our JUMP Swim School, you will be at the forefront of ensuring the smooth, effective, and efficient operations of our swim school. You’ll be responsible for maintaining high standards in accordance with operational practices, contractual requirements, quality systems, legislative regulations, and industry guidelines. Your leadership will be crucial in implementing and maintaining all company policies and procedures, and you'll play a key role in reviewing and optimizing our processes to enhance customer service, procedural effectiveness, and financial performance.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Oversee the daily operations of the swim school, ensuring seamless execution across all areas.
- Lead and supervise our team of swim teachers, including managing staff rosters, performance, and recruitment.
- Act on customer feedback to continually improve the service and reduce any negative perceptions of our site operations.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, including employee, customer, pool maintenance, safety, payments, and the Incident Register.
- Drive local area marketing initiatives to boost enrolment numbers and grow the swim school.
- Ensure the completion and documentation of all required checklists (daily/weekly/monthly).
- Provide ongoing training to ensure that company standards are consistently met.
- Uphold high standards of physical appearance, cleanliness, and safety at the site.
- Step in to deliver swimming lessons when needed, demonstrating a hands-on approach.
- Manage financial duties, including payment reconciliations, payroll, and accounts payable.
- Oversee stock control and maintain all onsite equipment to ensure it is regularly serviced, clean, and in excellent working condition.
- Carry out general administration, cleaning, and service duties as required.
**Essential Qualifications & Skills**
- A minimum of 3 years’ management experience in a similar role.
- Ability to work autonomously, make independent decisions, and manage small teams effectively.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Proficient computer skills.
- Highly developed problem-solving abilities.
- AUSTSWIM Teacher of Swimming and Water Safety certification or equivalent.
- Current First Aid and CPR certificates.
- Current Blue Card/Working with Children Check (relevant to the state).
- QLD Police Check.
- Availability to work one day on the weekend.
**Desirable Experience**
- Prior experience in the aquatics industry and quality assurance of swim programs.
- Financial management expertise.
- Familiarity with HR structures and practices.
- Pool Operation course certificate.

Pay: $55,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
