
Principal Project Officer

Reporting to the Project Manager - Program Coordination, you will be responsible for providing high level advice, coordination and management of divisional operational planning and reporting arrangements to support the efficient operation of the Project Evaluation and Facilitation Division.
**You will**:
- Develop programs and systems that support the Division's project teams in the delivery of their statutory responsibilities including training opportunities, practice guidance, communication platforms and ICT enhancement requirements including the implementation of project management system changes.
- Provide high level technical and project advice to the Director in the preparation of information and coordination of advice for project proponents seeking to engage with the Division.
- Provide high level advice to the Director in the preparation of information and coordination of advice on technical project compliance matters.
- Prepare timely information to support the reporting responsibilities of the Division including the development and reporting against divisional operational plans, service delivery statements and other strategic operational requirements as required by the Executive Leadership Team.
- Provide high level advice to the divisional senior leadership team on project resourcing and external contracting requirements and budget planning.
- Coordinate and review processes that support achievement of the Division's goals and recognise the need for continuous improvement and quality assurance of services
- Manage the effective and efficient coordination of statutory processes under the SDPWO Act and SSRC Act.
- Manage complex project delivery matters following project approvals.
- Assist in leading complex negotiations with local, state and Commonwealth government agencies, community groups and the private sector on a range of major project and infrastructure issues.
- Perform other tasks as required by the Director and Project Manager.
