**Role Description/Criteria**

St Mary’s School, Altona is seeking a part-time Physical Education Teacher from 2025. Graduates are encouraged to apply.

The successful applicant will be a dynamic, collaborative colleague who understands and values the link between student success and collective teacher efficacy.

They are committed to the provision of a high quality PE program that provides varied opportunities for student engagement.

St Mary's students have many opportunities to engage in sports, including Interschool sports and various district-based opportunities.

The successful applicant will be responsible for organising and coordinating interschool sports, district events and school-based events, including communicating event details to families and following up on permission and other requirements for the organisation of such events.

**Selection Criteria**
- A demonstrated commitment and capacity to actively contribute to and support the Catholic ethos
- Strong organisational skills
- A strong commitment and ability to engage with all members of the community
- An ability to create varied and inclusive opportunities for students to engage in physical activity

The successful applicant will hold Victorian Institute of Teaching Registration.

They will also be committed to the safety and wellbeing of all children and to ensuring St Mary's Child safety policies and procedures are fully enacted.
