**About the role**

CatholicCare is looking for a casual educator to join our growing team in Forestville.

The role of the Child Care Educator, in the Early Learning Centre (ELC) is to assist the Director/Teacher and the team in providing high quality care and education for children in a community preschool setting for 3-5-year-olds.

New graduates are encouraged to apply.

**This is a casual position.**

**Duties**
- Assist the room teacher with the implementation of a well-planned and evaluated program for 3-5-year-olds, using the Early Years Framework.
- Develop a positive and supportive relationship with children.
- Maintain a safe and hygienic environment.
- Work with the team to ensure a compliant centre as per the Education and Care Services Regulations
- Establish and maintain good relationships with families.
- Work flexible hours to support the 3-5 year after school program (your working day would start at 10am)

**Requirements**:

- Certificate III qualifications (relevant experience in Early Childhood Education is
- Current First Aid and CPR Certificate
- Current Asthma and Anaphylaxis
- Completion of Identify & Respond to Children and Young People at Risk (CHCPRT001 or previous equivalent)
- Knowledge of the Education and Care National Regulations and National Quality Framework and Being, Belonging and Becoming
- Current and valid Working with Children Check clearance.
