Retail Traineeship

**ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY**

MIGAS in partnership with our host client** BOC Gas and Gear** are looking for a Trade Sales Trainee to start at BOC's shop in **Labrador on the Gold Coast**.

BOC Gas and Gear is well known as one of the world leaders in gases, engineering, and healthcare. They provide innovative, sustainable, and safe solutions for customers in speciality sectors including heavy industry and medical environments.

The role is hands-on and will involve some sales, phone, and customer service work at the front of the store as well as some stores work in the back including receiving and dispatching stock when required. If you enjoy interacting with people and have an interest in engineering while not wanting to work in a trade then this is a role you will enjoy.

This traineeship will see you complete a **SIR30216 Certificate III in Retail** as you put theory into practice and get paid in the process. No two days are the same, and you'll gain valuable experience to set you up for a successful career. BOC have excellent opportunities for advancement within their organisation.

If you already have a forklift licence and some experience with welding that is a plus however if not, then BOC will give you forklift training to gain a licence as well as the opportunity to complete an introduction to welding course.

**ABOUT YOU**
- A positive and committed attitude
- Good numeracy and literacy skills
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Previous sales, warehousing, or retail experience a plus but not essential
- Driver's licence and reliable transport ideal
- Ability to pass pre-employment medical, drug/alcohol screening and police check
