Kids on Mullum Child Care Centre has an exciting opportunity for two Qualified Assistant educators, to join our amazing team

We are a 118-place, privately owned centre catering for Babies, Toddlers and Kindergarten aged children.
We are open 7.00am to 6.30pm Monday to Friday.

In September 2023 the centre received an overall EXCEEDING rating, acknowledging we are centre that goes above the standard of care.

Our philosophy is broken down into 5 areas that we feel are important elements of a high-quality service; Play Based Learning Programs that reflect the VEYLDF as well as the Aboriginal 8 ways of Learning Pedagogy. We believe in having High Expectations of all children and see children as capable learners. We have an inclusive environment and encourage everyone to have access to our service. Our relationships with families and children is of the highest priority for us, as well as having committed educators that have a love for early childhood education

We have 2 positions available; 1 x Full - Time Qualified Assistant and 1x Full-Time Certificate III position for our Toddler rooms.

- You must: be over 18 years old
- Have a Diploma in Children’s Services
- Have a Cert III or equivalent, in Children’s Services for assistant positions.
- An ACEQA approved qualification
- Must have the right to work in Australia or have an eligible Australian Work Visa
- A current Working With Children Check
- Approved Asthma / /Anaphylaxis/First Aid qualifications
- Approved Child Protection training
- Approved Food Safety and Allergens training

**We would also like**:

- Good communication & writing skills - Fluent English
- Live in close vicinity of the area
- Able to use your initiative
- Knowledge of National Quality Framework
- Reliable
- Able to work in a team
- Ability to Supervise Staff
- Proven ability and experience to plan, implement and evaluate an emergent curriculum based on the children's interests and developmental needs.
- Thorough knowledge and understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework and National Quality Framework.
- Proven ability to develop, implement and maintain comprehensive children's developmental records.
- Highly developed written and interpersonal communication skills
- Demonstrated computer skills

You will be working within a team of supportive and talented Early Childhood teachers and educators. It is essential that you are a team player and have strong communications skills with a high level of understanding, and belief, in the long-lasting benefit of quality early childhood education.
