**About the Company**

We have a rewarding and exciting opportunity for a Claims and Recoveries Officer to join a NSW Government organisation located in Burwood. This role will be responsible for managing claims in a prompt and efficient way.

**About the Role**
- Manage an end-to-end portfolio of public liability claims
- Manage enquiries from a variety of internal and external parties
- Provide regular and accurate reporting on claims portfolio.
- Suggest improvements to the Claims Management process to improve efficiency and effectiveness
- Effectively use a range of computerized systems, technology and telephony solutions to undertake work tasks, triage, refer or escalate work tasks, enter data and maintain up to date records in order to facilitate work allocation, performance analysis and service improvement.

**About You**
- Extensive knowledge and experience in public liability claims management in a large organisation or with an insurer
- Detailed and up-to-date knowledge of relevant insurance legislation and regulations and of current requirements and practices relating to government organisations.
- Ability to take ownership of customer experience and advanced skill in building rapport
- Strong capability to communicate clearly, concisely and appropriately both orally and in writing.
- Solid analytical and problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated ability to adapt and to learn and implement new processes and procedures
