We are looking for new team members to join the Gold Coast's biggest and best Doggy Daycare and Wellness Centre, Fetch n Fun Wellness & Daycare. We pride ourselves on the love shown for all the pups in our care, our facility on the Gold Coast has the highest standards of customer experience and satisfaction for our clients (aka Fetch n Fun Family).
Opportunities exist for experienced, friendly and enthusiastic dog lovers to join our amazing daycare team.
Job roles on offer include:
- Reception / Floor Assistant roles
- Junior Assistant roles (Entry level roles)
- Senior Floor Leads
Applicants should be well spoken, positive individuals with a big smile and absolute love for dogs is essential.
Minimum of 2 years paid working experience with canines. Junior roles excluded - happy to look from Year 10 onwards.
We need great people who are motivated, hardworking, kind, show initiative and are good communicators with the 2 legged kind and the 4 pawed kind.
The job requires you to work in a fast paced environment, where you will need to shuffle priorities, be adaptable and keep calm.
Working with dogs is mentally and physically demanding so you need to be able to keep up with the pace and be physically fit, as you will be handling dogs from 1kg to 90kg.
Working at our doggy daycare isn’t just working with cute dogs (though it is a major bonus), you are required to work indoors and outdoors in all weather and climate conditions, get dirty, complete physical tasks and do lots and lots of cleaning
Flexibility is needed with shifts anytime from 6.30am to 6.30pm Monday to Friday which can include split shifts and being available at short notice to fill in shifts. Junior shifts will only be required for 3 hour shifts that work outside school hours.
The basic minimum requirements:
- If 18 and over - a paid position working with canines for more than 2 years and/or equivalent training in animal related field
- Team focused and ability to work cohesively with others in a fun, fast paced environment
- Fit and able to run, jump and move big dogs when necessary
- Calm, compassionate and positive nature
- A friendly and confident personality
- Able to follow clear instructions and procedures unsupervised
- Able to work up to ten hour days, on your feet, in a high pressure environment
- A passion for, strong desire to learn, or aspiration to continue your development with canine behaviour and psychology
- Must be comfortable and confident in working with dogs of all sizes
- Available to attend a 2-hour unpaid work trial over the coming weeks (date to be provided)
- Looking for a long term position
- Intermediate to Advanced computer knowledge for reception roles
- Experience in customer service is an advantage
Only successful applicants will be contacted to trial in shifts, with the successful trials moved to an interview process.

Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
Expected hours: 10 - 15 per week
