**About the role**
The ITS Technician will be primarily responsible for maintenance activities to maintain, repair, replace and ensure the integrity and performance of equipment and systems on the EastLink Project.
The ITS Technician will also work closely with the BOCS System Engineer, Asset Management Team Engineers and Leading Hand - Mechanical and Electrical to ensure resources develop and maintain competencies required to support the efficient function of all road side equipment (RSE).
- Provide support to the RF subsystems, UHF, VHF, FM, AM, Public Address and O & M Radio through scheduled preventative maintenance and fault response.
- Provide support to the Electronic Toll Collection Systems through the maintenance, timely fault response and administration of Roadside Tolling Equipment.
- Conduct system recovery and media recycling procedures as required ensuring the operational integrity of all systems.
- Under supervision, maintain specialised equipment including PABX’s and Radio, Equipment, CCTV equipment, PLC’s and the ELOC building security system.
- Work with the Pre-Works Technicians and BOCS Systems Engineer to schedule planned and unplanned maintenance works on gantry mounted Tolling Equipment.
- Repair, refurbish or replace defective equipment and perform corrective maintenance activities as required to restore equipment performance both on and off site to support the projects KPI’s which will be occasionally out of normal working hours.
- Report any incidents, spills or near misses to the Traffic Control Room Operator immediately.
- Ensure all applicable approvals are gained before undertaking activities.
**Your experience should include but not limited to;**
You will have a tertiary qualification in Telecommunications, Electronic or Information Technology accompanied with experience working in a similar position.
You will also possess:
- Good working knowledge of MS Office Suite (Linux would also be advantageous).
- Developed fault diagnosis skills for RF, Electronic and Computer Systems.
- Maintenance of electronic systems (perform fault diagnosis & rectification).
- IT systems and Networking
- Current Drivers licence
- Ability to develop key understanding of client requirements and contractual obligations and the ability to further demonstrate those understandings by way of site meetings, client interactions and feedback sessions.
