**Superannuation Researcher and Data Analyst**

Super Consumers Australia is looking for a Researcher and Data Analyst to help us protect the interests of people on low and middle incomes in Australia’s superannuation system.
- Fixed term contract until June 2028, with opportunity to extend | Full or Part Time
- $98,000 - $108,000 salary + superannuation (FT|35 hpw)
- Hybrid - Remote WFH & Marrickville Office

**About you**

You’re a self-starter who is curious about getting to the bottom of big problems. You want to pursue a career that has purpose, makes an impact and helps make the lives of millions of Australians more financially secure.
- Formal qualifications in economics, econometrics, commerce, public policy or social sciences
- Experience designing and delivering insightful and credible research projects

Other desirable qualifications include
- Strong written presentation and reporting skills
- Working knowledge or willingness to learn statistical programming languages (R preferred)
- Interest in facilitating interviews and focus groups with consumers
- Used to delivering multiple projects to tight deadlines

**About the role**

Reporting to the Deputy CEO and working alongside an Economist you'll be helping deliver on our ambitious research agenda in support of our strategic goal of making superannuation work better for consumers.
- Lead the inception, design and implementation of research projects with input from other team members.
- Work with other SCA staff to ensure research is informed by and informs other activities, including SCA campaign priorities and the external policy environment.
- Manage research projects to ensure each project remains on schedule and focus on the key deliverables.
- Develop and implement research methods (quantitative data analysis with R or equivalent and qualitative methods including consumer survey design and analysis).
- Write research reports to clearly and effectively communicate key findings.
- Maintain documentation relating to research methods and projects

Based on deep research, we influence policymakers, hold super funds accountable, and help consumers maximise and manage their super. Formed in 2013, we are an independent, not-for-profit organisation and a leading voice for consumers of superannuation products and services. Our primary funding comes through a small levy on super funds.
